Become a Paid Sci-Detective

At TrustySci.com, we are dedicated to maintaining the integrity of scientific research through a new role called Sci-Detective. A Sci-Detective is an individual with relevant academic degrees who carefully analyzes high-impact scientific papers to identify serious mistakes and errors, and by reporting these issues, they will receive a financial reward.

Here's how it works:

Identifying Issues

Sci-Detectives can report serious mistakes, data manipulation, or inappropriate use of artificial intelligence in published research.

Submission Process

To report an issue, Sci-Detectives upload the relevant manuscript to our website, by submitting a "Start a discussion about other manuscript" providing details about the authors and the manuscript. Sci-Detectives can submit questions or comments either anonymously or with their identity revealed.

Author Response

Authors of the manuscript are given the opportunity to respond to the comments and questions raised by the Sci-Detectives.

Monitoring Responses

If authors do not respond or provide unrelated answers, TrustySci.com will notify the journal about the situation.

Financial Rewards

In cases where a manuscript is retracted due to identified issues, the Sci-Detective will receive a financial bounty as a reward for their contribution to upholding scientific integrity, along with a certificate recognizing their efforts.

Reward Tiers

The rewards depend on the impact factor (IF) of the journal. Currently, rewards are only offered for journals with an IF greater than 30, as follows:

30 < IF < 40$1,000 USD
40 < IF < 50$2,000 USD
IF > 50$3,000 USD

While these rewards do not fully represent the value of the work done by our Sci-Detectives, they serve as a token of appreciation for their collaboration in ensuring trustworthy science.

Through Sci-Detective service, we aim to encourage vigilance and accountability in scientific publishing, rewarding those who help ensure that research remains trustworthy and transparent.
